Brief & Goal
Develop branding and identity for a fictional indie game company, from logo to web presence, that underscores Pathos Productions’ commitment to emotional storytelling.
Reflect the studio’s narrative-driven focus
Build a memorable mascot and logo system
Create visuals that resonate with players emotionally
My Solution
I created a full identity suite including logo, color palette, mascot illustrations, event posters, and a branded website rooted in Pathos Productions’ narrative ethos. The logo blends a stylized mascot with custom lettering to evoke empathy and intrigue. A rich, moody color palette and hand-drawn textures carry that emotional tone across posters and web graphics.
Process
1. Thumbnails
Researched indie and AAA studio branding. Early sketches explored mascot-driven marks paired with expressive typography.
2. Digital Iterations
Refined the mascot icon, tested typeface pairings, and settled on a deep, evocative color scheme, iterating until the mark felt both playful and poignant.
3. Website Design
Built a responsive homepage prototype featuring animated mascot elements, narrative-focused header graphics, and a modular layout that adapts to mobile and desktop while staying on-brand.
4. Branding Guidelines
A concise guide covering logo usage, color specs, typography rules, and illustration treatments, ensuring every application stays true to Pathos’s emotional narrative.
